Volunteer Coordinator Position Opening

Volunteer coordinator.

The Community Center for the Performing Arts (WOW Hall) is looking for a volunteer coordinator capable of recruiting, training, and scheduling a large and diverse group of volunteers to work in a variety of positions. You will supervise volunteers during events at the hall and also spend time finding creative ways to recruit new volunteers through booths, social media, or other outreach methods. You will be part of a wonderful team of people who are the staff that runs the WOW Hall. This position includes working evenings and weekends. 

Essential Duties

  • Create a volunteer recruitment plan that establishes additional community presence  to proactively seek new volunteers. This plan will promote diversity of age, race, ethnicity, abilities, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and artistic preferences.
  • Cultivate volunteers through outreach opportunities, including participation in events off-site.
  • Recruit, screen and onboard volunteers
  • Train and ensure that volunteers are following all CCPA policies and procedures
  • Establish positive relationships with volunteers to ensure positive experiences and maintain retention
  • Work scheduled CCPA events that include volunteers
  • Facilitate communication between staff and volunteers
  • Carry out directions from the House Manager prior to and at events

Compensation and Hours

Hourly compensation will be  $16/hour 

Position will be part time
