On Saturday, November 20, the Tish Hinojosa Trio performs at the WOW Hall in a Benefit Concert for Centro Latino Americano.

Tish Hinojosa, la menor de 13 hijos de padres inmigrantes mexicanos, es una cantautora de Austin, Texas, que ha dedicado su carrera a tocar música del suroeste. Comenzó con música tejana antes de pasar a componer y cantar música folk tradicional, música fronteriza y country. Con reconocimientos que incluyen presentarse en la Casa Blanca por invitación del presidente Bill y Hillary Clinton, y colaborar con artistas como Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson, Dwight Yoakam, Nanci Griffith, Pete Seeger, Flaco Jiménez y Los Lobos.  La música de Tish indudablemente tiene un atractivo innegable y de gran alcance. Con diecisiete discos compactos a su nombre, el sonido distintivo de Tish le ha brindado grandes éxitos con el público. Ha realizado numerosas giras por los Estados Unidos y Europa, y continúa atrayendo a un público fiel y creciente.  Tish trae su talento a Eugene para beneficiar el trabajo de Centro Latino Americano en nuestra comunidad. 

The youngest of 13 children born to Mexican immigrant parents, Tish Hinojosa is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas who has dedicated her career to playing music from the southwest. She started out in Tejano before moving on to singer/songwriter folk, border music and country. With accolades that include playing at the White House at the invitation of President Clinton and Hillary Clinton, and teaming up with artists like Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson, Dwight Yoakam, Nanci Griffith, Pete Seeger, Flaco Jimenez, and Los Lobos, Tish’s sound has an undeniable and far-reaching appeal. With seventeen CD’s to her name, Tish’s distinct sound has gained her much critical acclaim. She has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe and continues to draw a loyal and growing audience. Tish brings her talents to Eugene to benefit the work of Centro Latino Americano in our community.

Tickets are $18 in advance.  Doors open at 6:30 pm and showtime is 7:30.  This is a seated performance.
