C.C.P.A. 2022 Election Information
The C.C.P.A. Annual General Membership Meeting and Election is upon us!
PLEASE REQUEST YOUR BALLOTS EARLY!
The C.C.P.A. uses an online voting system, currently EasyVoteOnline.com. Everyone who wishes to vote must request an electronic ballot and everyone is encouraged to request their ballots early. NOTE: Ballot requests are being taken now, but no ballots will be emailed until after the Annual General Membership Meeting. Accommodations can be made for people who have a problem accessing the online voting method.
No voting takes place during the Annual General Membership Meeting. There will be no check-in process and all are welcome to attend the meeting. The meeting will still require a quorum (25 members) attending, and candidate nominations and presentations will take place at the meeting.
Candidate statements and a recording of the Annual General Membership Meeting will be provided to members on the WOW Hall website. Voting will begin by the end of business on the day immediately after the Annual General Membership Meeting (November 14th,2022), and the polls will close at 5p.m. on the following Friday (November 18th, 2022).

How to Request you CCPA Election Ballot:
Request your ballot now. Remember:
BALLOTS ARE ELECTRONIC AND WILL COME BY EMAIL, and
NO BALLOTS WILL ACTUALLY BE SENT OUT BEFORE 11/13/22.
ALL BALLOT REQUESTS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE 2pm FRIDAY 11/18/22.
VOTING ENDS AT 5pm FRIDAY 11/18/22
Please follow these directions precisely.
- Every individual member who wishes to vote must email their own request for a ballot.
- The email must come FROM the email account that will receive the ballot.
- The Ballot Request must contain the following information
- The member’s name as it is recorded in the membership records of the CCPA.
- The email address to which their ballot should be sent (this makes it easier for data entry, but it needs to be the same as the email address making the request).
- (optional) The member’s phone number. This is not required, but if there is any issue validating the membership, being able to contact the member by phone may help expedite the process.
To request a ballot, email vote[at]wowhall[dot]org.
Once your request for a ballot is received, your membership status will be verified and you will be added to the voter list (or issued a ballot if voting has already commenced). If there is any issue verifying your membership status, you will be contacted to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
If you absolutely cannot use the online voting process, call the CCPA Voter Hotline at 541-321-0043 to request a ballot and vote by phone.
If there is no answer, leave a message with your phone number.
Voting by phone costs the CCPA more money. Please only use this method if you absolutely cannot vote online.
Click Here for a copy of the Phone Voting Instructions.
Again, please use this process only if you are truly unable to vote online.
Members should be aware that it may be necessary to call them back to assist them with voting, and that call back may come from a phone number other than the WOW Hall.
How to become a candidate for the C.C.P.A. Board of Directors:
Current Board of Directors Members whose terms are expiring are automatically nominated for reelection if they choose to run. All other candidates must be nominated at the Annual General Membership Meeting.
One must be a member in good standing for 30 days immediately prior to the Annual General Membership Meeting in order to qualify to run for the Board of Directors.
Declaring one’s intent to run for the Board of Directors is not required. One may be nominated from the floor at the Annual General Membership Meeting and be included on the ballot.
By declaring one’s intent to run for the Board before the meeting, one will be eligible to have their candidacy listed on the WOW Hall website. The listing will include a small picture, up to 100 words on the web page, and a link to a candidate statement of any length. The candidate statement will only be made available by the C.C.P.A. through the wowhall.org website (not sent out on paper), and will be attached to the candidate’s listing as a PDF file. While every effort is made to post new and updated statements promptly, it may take up to 48 hours for postings to be made and/or updated. Members wishing to be listed on the website can notify the C.C.P.A. of their intent to run for the Board of Directors no sooner than 45 days before the Annual General Membership Meeting. No statements will be posted until 30 days before the meeting (see the election timeline).
In order to notify the C.C.P.A. of your intent to run for the Board of Directors, email candidate[at]wowhall[dot]org NO EARLIER than 9/29/2022. The email should include:
- A statement of your intent to run for the Board of Directors,
- The small image of yourself you would like posted on the candidate page,
- Your 100-word summary statement, and
- Any candidate statement you would like posted in the form of a PDF file.
Please note that, in order to run for office, you must still be nominated and someone must second the nomination at the Annual General Membership Meeting unless you are currently a sitting member of the Board of Directors.
How to Communicate with the Membership:
The C.C.P.A. offers two options for a member to communicate with the entire membership on matters pertaining to the Annual General Membership Meeting. The full procedure is linked below.
Option 1: Send a mailer by the United States Post Office to every member at the sender's expense. The sender is the person requesting to send the mailer. This option requires expense and time for both staff and the sender, so please be sure to read the requirements carefully and be prepared to follow through with the mailer before requesting this option. The deadline to request this option and provide the information to be mailed is October 1st by 5 p.m.
Option 2: Post a member statement on the wowhall.org website. This option is free to all members. Some restrictions apply. Please read the rules carefully before submitting a request to post a statement. These statements will not be accepted until September 29th and will not be posted until October 14th.
