Community Center for Performing Arts (WOW Hall) is seeking a part-time bookkeeper ( app 15 hrs/wk) whose duties include full cycle QuickBooks bookkeeping:  all accounts receivable and payable; payroll; grants; budgets; cash handling; and board reporting.

Bookkeeper Position Overview

 
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is a part-time position for the CCPA, responsible for full cycle QuickBooks bookkeeping including all accounts receivable and payable, payroll, grants, budgets, cash handling. This position is also responsible for financial reporting to the Board of Directors. All employees are expected to maintain respectful and professional behaviors toward all Staff, Board members, volunteers and patrons.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate QuickBooks company file
  • Count cash & make cash deposits
  • Record credit card deposits
  • Process payroll for 20 employees; prepare quarterly reports & W-2’s
  • Accounts Payable
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile ticket sales
  • Prepare & present monthly financial statements to the board of directors at evening board meetings
  • Prepare reports & attend monthly finance committee meetings
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Prepare annual operating budget & present to membership at annual meeting
  • Maintain financial records for grants
  • Provide fiscal year financial reports for CPA to prepare nonprofit tax return
  • Issue 1099’s to performers and other vendors

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting preferred
  • Highly experienced with QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Google Docs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate well with other employees, BOD, and patrons
  • Understand necessity for confidentiality 

Pay Rate:

Pay range for the Bookkeeper position is $13 to $17 per hour.  Starting pay for successful candidate will depend on the skills, experience and available budget.
