September 5, 2017 - 9:00pm

On Tuesday, September 5, the Community Center for the Performing Arts and Capital Front Booking proudly welcome the Higher Power 2 Tour to the WOW Hall featuring Kyle Bent and Johnny Oz.

Capitol Front Booking is back on the road with some amazing talent!  Headlining will be Johnny Oz, an up and coming star who brings fans an energy like we've never seen before. With Kyle Bent, Black Dave and Brooklyn's The Hittlist, plus more, the second edition of the Higher Power tour is stacked with original talent. After our successful East Coast run (NH, Bos, CT, Long Island, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, D.C.) we are ready for the West Coast!  From September 5th-16th we will be invading cities from Eugene, Oregon through Las Vegas and back to Seattle, Washington!  Come and rage out with us at a city near you!

Massachusetts-based rapper Kyle Bent was born in August 1997 in Jamaica; his parents decided to relocate when he was two.  After being introduced to freestyling and songwriting, Kyle formed his first rap duo in 5th grade.  It wasn’t before long that Kyle taught himself how to use audio recording software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, Protools, Sony Vegas and various other recording programs.  By the age of fifteen, Bent had already released three mixtapes and six music videos, all of which had impressive numbers.

In 2014, Bent released his highly acclaimed music video, “Mind Control” which landed him his first 100k views; this got him featured on, MTV, On Demand, Music Choice, and many other programs.  Since then, Kyle Bent opened up for artists such as Machine Gun Kelly and Yonas.  He has also graced various stages ranging from the Palladium in Worcester to SXSW in Texas.

Kyle decided his goal would be to transcend all boundaries and stigmas that surrounded rap music.  His main concern would not be whether his music is classified as hip-hop, electronic, soul or any other genre, but only that the lyrics impacted the listener as deeply as possible. With time, he suspected that positive music, along with the proper promotional platform, would be a major key in transforming the world into a better place for people to live in — he made it his sole mission to help facilitate that change.

Johnny Oz was born in 1990 in Plantation Florida.  At age two his mother and father split up, leaving his mother, older brother and two older sisters to struggle to survive.

Growing up in a house where his brother was an aspiring music producer and his cousins were all aspiring rappers, he was easily sucked into the world of hip-hop.  At the age of 13 his biggest influences (Frank “Hollywood” and Kevin “ Big Steal”) were sentenced to federal prison.

Now Johnny Oz is pursing something much more than fame in his music.  His focus is providing change in the lives of children who grew up in similar situations to his own.  Johnny also started an independent label "Grind Slaves Music" in hopes of spreading his message and music throughout Florida and across the country.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of show.  Doors open at 8:00 pm and showtiem is 9:00.
