Free People

December 16, 2017 - 11:00am

On Saturday, December 16, the WOW Hall welcomes Free People from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Free People is a Eugene nonprofit that was developed in response to people experiencing homelessness in our community.  Free People serves folks by providing food, clothing, friendship and hope.  We extend compassion and dignity to all.

Everyone has a story.  Homeless people often live in a story of pain, failure, abuse and loss. This can result in despair, regret and a bleak outlook on the future.

Free People is committed to being present in the homeless community.  Beyond meeting basic needs, we help people by providing referrals to local services and networking with other agencies.  Looking deeper at the root causes of homelessness, we offer hope for daily strength and long term change.

Free People serves the homeless to the end that the homeless too may become a free people, empowered to help others become free people.

In addition to cash, the types of donations that also help us are: clean clothing, winter coats, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, shoes, boots, toiletries, sleeping bags, blankets and camping gear.
