Dimond Saints

October 14, 2017 - 9:00pm

On Saturday, October 14, the Community Center for the Performing Arts and University of Oregon Campus Radio 88.1 FM KWVA proudly welcome Dimond Saints “Sun & Moon Tour” to the WOW Hall.

Oakland’s Dimond Saints -- producers An-Ten-Ae and Releece -- are touring in support of their first full album, Prism In The Dark.  The duo is taking the year by storm with this exceptional debut, which stands out among today’s electronic music as unabashedly experimental, dark and different. Going Solo has dubbed their style “Brooding noir&B.”

“The album is a bipolar soundscape of otherworldly buzzing, clanging, glittering cosmic rises and vast empty echoes,” reports Noiseporn.  “I can’t choose an adjective to describe it: transporting, magnificent, larger-than-life, enthralling, masterful…none of these do it justice.”

Producers An-Ten-Nae and Releece became familiar with each other frequenting the same parties and scenes and were in the studio together from time to time. Towards the end of 2013, the duo realized that their sounds complimented one another and decided to team up. Since both lived blocks away in the Dimond District, they decided to name themselves the Dimond Saints.  In 2014, they began to gain a dedicated local following who were attracted to the fusion of An-Ten-Nae’s Acid Crunk paired and Releece’s impeccable sound.

Even under the sunny warmth of the spotlight, Dimond Saints choose the moonlit path, shunning the confines of a record label.  They put out their first release, Chapter 1: The Rising, as a free download.  Shingetsu, the Japanese term for new moon, is the title of the three-chapter song cycle.

The Dimond Saints have been releasing hit after hit since the first single off Shingetsu.  "We Diamonds” was devoured by fans and rose meteorically up the Hypem stairway all the way to #4.  Dimond Saints' remix of  singer LAYLA effortlessly levitated itself to #1 on Hypem, making a total of five songs in just four months that made the top 10 on Hypem, and garnered them over a million plays on Sound Cloud.

Freshly inspired from a standout performance at the Global Eclipse Gathering, Dimond Saints continue their sonic adventure with their latest single “SunAndMoon”.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 day of show.  Doors open at 8:00 pm and showtime is 9:00.
