Back 2 School Summer Jam with Kane, Don Tre & Dopey Locz

September 1, 2017 - 8:30pm

On Friday, September 1, Hard Times Records and The Umbrella ENT Presents host Back @ School Summer Jam featuring Kane plus Dopey Locz and Don Tre.

Kane is an upcoming artist out of Eugene, Oregon.  He was born in Pomona, CA.  He and his mom moved to Eugene around 1990 and soon after the rest of his family followed.  Kane is from a close knit family and today they all live today in Eugene.

Kane started Hard Times Records in 2002.  Hard Times first album was a five song EP self entitled Hard Times Records.  This created a following for his next project, the West Coast Connections compilation.

West Coast Connections and Dirt Dane's solo debut I Thought Ya'll Knew were dropped by Hard Times Records in 2004.  Both albums were hot and are still circulating in the area.  Hard Times’ fan base continued to grow and many people wondered when KANE would release his debut album.

Entitled 100% Snow, Kane's first album, has received praise from fans and critics up and down the West Coast.  Albums after that had just as much buzz: Still Spittin Game, MOB, and the I'm At It Again Vol 1 mixtape.

The best way to experience Kane's music is at a show.  He has opened for celebrities like E-40, TooShort and Yukmouth and at Hard Times sponsored shows all over the West.  You can find them in WA, OR, CA, NV, MT, and more.  Concert dates are on the website www.facebook.com/hardtimesrecords <http://www.facebook.com/hardtimesrecords> -- where you can also hear songs from any of Hard Times records or purchase albums.  The website also has all of Hard Times young new- talent, check it out and see what Hard Times Records is all about.

DOPEY LOCZ & DON TRE

Dopey Locz is from Northern California.  He brings a real uncut style of pure dope to the rap game.

“I’ve worked and produced with a lot of artists from the Bay Area/Sacramento rap scene since I started rapping back in 06,” says Davey.   “Let me tell you its been a long road.... a lot of hard work and dedication is put in my music to give people a real feeling that is undeniable to their ears.  I rap and represent for my people still in the ghetto and their everyday struggle trying to make a living or just to survive.  Out here on the cold Northern Cali streets not everybody works or got money like that, feel me?

“But nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream -- remember that.

“I don’t rap and talk about stuff I ain’t seen, done, don’t have or ain’t been around; thats the difference.   I’m currently working with my brother and good friend Don Tre outta Sacramento; Oak Park to be exact.  He's the illest artist I’ve heard coming from Sac hands down.  You can find our music on iTunes and music videos on youtube -- just search Dopey Locz or Don Tre.  Add us on Instagram @dopeylocz @dontre_militant33.”

Tickets are $10 in advance.  Doors open at 8:00 pm and showtime is 8:30.
