WOW
Hall Booking FAQ
"Who
are you?"
We are the Community Center for the Performing Arts, located in
the historic Woodmen of the World building - hence our more common
name, The W.O.W. hall.
We
are an all-ages venue, and produce an average of about 15 events
a month. Most of our shows are with nationally touring acts, but
we also occasionally build local/regional shows as well. Our capacity
is approximately 400 for an open dance floor/standing room show,
and 250 for a seated show.
"How
do I talk to someone about booking?"
email is by far the best way to start:
booking@wowhall.org
please include weblinks to any band info online.
"Can
I send you a demo/press-kit?"
yes, send it to:
Attn: Booking
WOW Hall
291 West 8th. Ave
Eugene, OR 97401
-please
include a cd, bio of the band, any past and/or upcoming shows,
reviews, and any other useful information. Check back in a few
weeks to
make sure it has been received and reviewed.
"Can
our band open for a show on BLANK-uary BLANK-teenth?"
first
of all, CHECK THE CALENDAR ON THE
WEBSITE! If we have a flamenco
troupe performing and you are a hardcore punk band then you should
probably
try contacting some other venues in town. Due to the diversity
of our
programming and the fact that many acts bring their own touring
support, the
odds are against us having the right genre of music, and room
on the bill on
the particular date you are looking for.
"What
