Assistant Facilities Custodian Job Position

Job Summary: The Facilities Custodial Assistant is responsible for Custodial Services of the W.O.W. Hall building and grounds. This position reports to the Facilities Custodian. All employees are expected to maintain respectful and professional behaviors towards all Staff, Board Members, volunteers and patrons.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Historic Preservation preferred.
  • Understanding of nonprofit organization preferred.
  • Heavy Lifting
  • Able to Work Irregular Hours

Job Description

Job Summary: The Facilities Custodian is responsible for custodial services and daily maintenance of the W.O.W. Hall building, equipment, and grounds. This position reports to the Operations Manager if staffed, otherwise the Facilities Custodian reports to the Board of Directors. All employees are expected to maintain respectful and professional behaviors toward all Staff, Board members, volunteers and patrons.

  1. FACILITIES MAINTENANCE:
    • Perform daily custodial and grounds keeping activities.
    • Follow security procedures and work cooperatively with public safety officials; observe external activity for threats to public safety and the security of the W.O.W. Hall.
    • Assist with response to custodial related emergencies, as needed.
    • Report any new building damage or maintenance needs to the Facilities Custodian.

       
  2. SCHEDULE:
    • Position works non-standard hours, including weekends and evenings as dictated by event schedule and custodial related emergencies.
